Kodac Harrison joins us in the studio. We describe Kodac as "quietly legendary" in Atlanta when we introduce him on the podcast. He is a singer/songwriter/performer who was influenced by soul music at a young age, and is also now an accomplished poet and spoken word artist. We discuss his recent performance at the King Center's MLK Jr Mural Dedication where he was asked to perform his song "Where Dreams Become Real"; growing up in the Atlanta area, but living in many different states and returning to a changed city; Poetry and Songwriting; Recording with Brendan O'Brian and performing with many accomplished musicians including Jennifer Nettles and John Mayer; Having Jimmy Carter as a big fan, and much more... Atlanta born and raised, Heather was exposed to bluegrass, blues, and americana music at a very young age, and is now an accomplished singer/songwriter/performer. We talk about the unique way she is currently raising funds to produce her next album (kickstarter.com), her stint on CBS TV's "Rockstar:INXS", performing on Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man Cruise" four years in a row, having her Dad in her band, and much more.
