#62 - Marshall Ruffin
Saturday Jun 23, 2012
Saturday Jun 23, 2012
Marshall Ruffin returns to Two Faces Radio, now with a full band. Well, two more guys really. Adam Holliday on Hammond Organ and Alan Marcha on Drums. Marshall is a great singer, guitarist, and songwriter. Since we saw him last he has moved to Atlanta from Columbus, GA and is currently playing regularly with this trio around town. Enjoy! *A Two Faces Radio APOLOGY: During the music segments of this show the mic we used on Marshall's amp was sporadically crapping out. For some reason we did not hear that this was going on during the recording. It will be noticeable to most listeners, but we hope the wonderful live performances captured during this show will endure this small discrepancy... http://marshallruffin.com/live/ Marshall Ruffin Facebook Page Two Faces Radio Facebook Page

#57 - Leslie
Sunday Mar 27, 2011
Sunday Mar 27, 2011
Charleston, SC Rock 'N' Roll band LESLIE joins us in the studio! We've been fans of these guys for years and caught them live several times in Atlanta and Charleston. We finally reeled them in to the studio. Although they grew up in the 90's, they have an authentic 70's sound (and look!). After years of building a fan base in Charleston and around the Southeast, and releasing multiple EP's, they finally have a full length album, "Lord, Have Mercy" coming out in a few weeks. Check their website for more info, and make sure you see these guys live next time they're in town. They interpret their songs here acoustically pretty well, but their full electric sound and live show must be experienced... Enjoy! http://www.lesliemusic.com/ Leslie Facebook Page

MUDCAT (Danny Dudek) and Georgia Music Hall of Fame Inductee Beverly "Guitar" Watkins join us in the studio to promote this year's annual CHICKEN RAID Festival at The Northside Tavern this Saturday & Sunday (3/19-3/20). MUDCAT, who we consider to be Atlanta's Blues Ambassador, is the brainchild behind the Chicken Raid Honoring Mr. Frank Edwards, and makes his 3rd appearance on our show (Thanks, Danny!). Ms. Beverly Watkins is an Atlanta Blues, Soul, and R&B Legend, but is world renowned. From her bio: "Watkins set fire to the stage with Piano Red in the 1950’s and 1960’s, worked with James Brown, B.B. King and Ray Charles, kept the heat going in Atlanta blues clubs for decades, and she is not about to give up her striding, acrobatic style just because she’s marched past 70." #49 - Steve Gorman (The Black Crowes) Part 1
Friday Dec 10, 2010
Friday Dec 10, 2010
Bryan's favorite band of all time is The Black Crowes. Period. We all know this. A few weeks ago, Two Faces Radio sent your faithful co-host on a secret mission all the way to Washington, DC to interview Steve Gorman, drummer and founding member of the Crowes, and also fellow podcaster. He succeeded. We now present to you the first part of this historic interview. (We're trying to sound dramatic here... is it working?) The first part of this podcast is Bryan and Ira providing an introduction to the interview with Steve (or as Bryan refers to him, Mr. Gorman). You'll find out how the interview came to be, and Ira breaks Bryan's balls over his initial nervousness and some notable moments during the course of the interview. Stay Tuned for Part Two! Steve Gorman also hosts a great Sports Podcast. Check it out: http://stevegormansports.com/ http://blackcrowes.com/2010/ What's Wrong With Steve?
