Eric Von Haessler from The Regular Guys show on ROCK 100.5 in Atlanta joins us in the studio!

If you live in Atlanta, you should already be familiar with Eric and The Regular Guys, but theirs is the most popular radio show in Atlanta, and one of the only great morning shows left nationwide. Eric and Larry Wachs moved the show from LA to Atlanta in the mid-90's, and have been on (and off) the air in Atlanta for over 10 years.

In this episode we discuss... a lot. Mostly the radio industry itself and where it is going, The Regular Guys, what REALLY happened when they were thrown off the air (twice!), satellite radio, podcasting, stand-up comedians, favorite guests on HIS show, and much more.

We talked so much when Eric sat down with us that we split this show into two podcasts. This is Part 1. In Part 2, we discuss music mostly. www.regularguys.com

Connor Christian and (most of) his band, Southern Gothic, join us in the studio! From Connor's Bio: "Equal parts modern troubadour, back road poet and outlaw rocker, Connor Christian creates gritty, soulful songs of experience revealing solace in hardship, hope in destitution, and a dustbowl sensibility." These guys are label-mates with some of our recent guests also on Vintage Earth Music, and have been touring extensively. They've brought great tunes, great stories, and a fun hang. Enjoy!

PODCLASSICS! - #72 Blair Crimmins & The Hookers

00:0000:00

*This Episode originally aired in November 2012. A great one. Enjoy!

Blair Crimmins & The Hookers joins us in the studio! This is the trio version of the group, sans horns and dancing girls. When people ask Blair what kind of music he plays, he makes it real simple. He just says "Ragtime". We're very happy to say that we got more music on this show than we bargained for, and had a great time as usual goofing around with the band, and sporadically finding out more about them. We're honored to say that Atlanta is home to a band playing original music in this traditional style. Very cool. Enjoy! And as always, please tell a friend or two about our show. They'll love you for it!
