Saturday Nov 06, 2010
Saturday Nov 06, 2010
Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights join us in the studio! We caught this great Dallas, Texas Rock 'N' Roll band opening for AC/DC in Atlanta last year, and we then saw them on Jimmy Kimmel Live in April. They have also opened for or toured with: Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, OAR, and Kid Rock. Their latest album, Pardon Me, was released on F-Stop/Atlantic Records and recently had songs placed on three major network TV shows including Friday Night Lights and HBO's Boardwalk Empire. One track from the album, which they also perform here, was co-written with Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes. We're glad we caught these guys now, cause they'll be too big for us soon... http://www.jonathantylermusic.com/

#44 - Bill Sheffield
Friday Oct 08, 2010
Friday Oct 08, 2010
Bill Sheffield is an Atlanta blues legend. Period. His Americana and Folk-Blues style of playing, singing, and songwriting has been an influence on generations of Atlanta musicians, including many who have been on our show previously. Over the years he has performed with or shared a bill with the likes of: Roy Buchanan, Muddy Waters, T-Bone Walker, Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, Delbert McClinton, and Bonnie Raitt. He was among the first musicians to perform at our beloved Northside Tavern back in the 70's, and has been playing music all over the world since. There's many, many more interesting things to say about Bill, but we cover it all on the show...
